Catherine to play owner of a news channel

Ever since she scored brownie points for her impressive portrayal of an MLA in ‘Sarraindu’, Catherine Tresa has been on the lookout for break-through roles. We hear the Bahrain-born Malayali actress landed a strong role in her forthcoming Telugu film, directed by Teja.

Catherine will be seen as the owner of a news channel in the political drama. Apparently, it’s a character that has great scope to perform, and the ‘Iddarammayilatho’ actress seems to be more than excited shooting her part.

“Catherine was elated about her role after listening to the script. She was extremely careful about the part and has also done a fair bit of research. To play the role with conviction, the svelte actress closely observed media barons.

It has been an eye-opening experience and she’s confident that her character will be appreciated,” informs a source close to the actress. The film also stars Rana Daggubati and Kajal Aggarwal.
