After doing considerable work on small screen - as a compere, reality show host and award functions host - Lasya is finally gearing up for big screen debut. She would be seen as a software engineer in her forthcoming film ‘Raja Meeru Keka’, directed by Krishna Kishore and produced by Raj Kumar.

“When my first look was out everyone assumed that I play a painter (smiles), but I play a software engineer hailing from a middle class family. The plot revolves around five principal characters Noel Sean, Hemanth, Revanth, Shobita Rana and I, and how we deal with unforeseen encounters amid comedy of errors,” she describes.

Although Lasya was not new to camera, she took several retakes on her first day of shoot. “I took around seven takes to get through because it was my first day of shoot and I need to get a hang of it. While small screen is all about being spontaneous this film is script-driven.”

Initially, I wondered how come a foreigner watches my shows, but then when I saw my co-stars, they were laughing and I straightaway knew it was a prank,” reveals Lasya, who got hitched to her beau Manjunath a few days back.
