Vijaya Bhaskar to direct Sumanth

Actor Sumanth Ashwin, who hasn’t had a major hit of late, will be teaming up with K Vijaya Bhaskar for a new project. The actor’s filmmaker father MS Raju will pool in resources for it, we hear.

“It’s a romantic drama peppered with comedy and the title ‘Usha Parinayam’ is under consideration. It will roll shortly and the script work is in final stages,” said sources.

Vijaya Bhaskar, once an accomplished director with hits like ‘Nuvvu Naaku Nachav’, ‘Manmadhudu’ and ‘Malliswari’, is staging a comeback with ‘Usha Parinayam’. His last film was Venkatesh and Ram-starrer ‘Masala’, which released three-and-a-half years ago. It was an average grosser at the turnstile.
