For someone who has done only chirpy roles in films so far and made plenty of fans through her TV shows, it is a bit tricky to take up a role in an adult film.

But what was her initial reaction and what made her be part of ‘Babu Baaga Busy’(‘BBB’), the Telugu remake of Hindi film ‘Hunterrr’?
Srimukhi explains, “Initially, I have turned down the offer because I don’t want to be part of an adult film that hampers my image.

But later the film’s director Naveen Medaram asked me to listen to my role and then decide. After listening to the script, I was convinced with my role.”

Its been constantly buzzed that Srimukhi is set to raise the temperatures in the film. And the buzz has gone to another level after the trailer features a shot where Avasarala Srinivas tries to touch Srimukhi.

“My father (who manages my work) and I kept laughing after reading about what’s being written. I want the gossips mongers to react after they watch the film. May be they will feel apologetic for what they wrote (smiles).

It’s an intriguing role keeps the narrative alive. I don’t have any steamy or bold scenes, and I’m sorry to disappoint all my detractors (smiles). It’s a very clean character.

But I don’t mind being part of an adult film as along as my role is aesthetically portrayed,” she adds. Not surprisingly, Srimukhi was apprehensive after her close aides from the industry were concerned about her role.

“I was worried, but I made sure that the right message was sent across and I have explained them clearly about my character. The posters might draw the audience, but after watching the film, I’m sure people will not call it an adult film.”
