Kajal gives up 5 crore?
It seems that reigning actress Kajal Agarwal is not money-minded, rather shrewdly choosing and thumbing down films and nicely planning her career ahead. According a source, the ‘Vivekam’ actress has given up nearly Rs 5 crore remuneration in the last two months of Rs 2.5 crore per film, to keep female-centric movies at bay.
It seems that reigning actress Kajal Agarwal is not money-minded, rather shrewdly choosing and thumbing down films and nicely planning her career ahead. According a source, the ‘Vivekam’ actress has given up nearly Rs 5 crore remuneration in the last two months of Rs 2.5 crore per film, to keep female-centric movies at bay.
Although she liked the girl-centric thriller narrated by director P Vasu, she was reluctant to jump into female-centric bandwagon and politely expressed her unwillingness, despite the makers reportedly offering her Rs 2.5 crore.
“Right now, her career is on a upswing with blockbusters like ‘Khadi No.150’ and ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ and has few more films with leading stars in the pipeline, hence no plans to take up female-oriented films right now and money is not her priority either,’ adds the source. Meanwhile, she got another offer from B-town production house to essay an author-backed role, but she refused another Rs 2.5 crore pay packet.
Despite doing 50-odd films and carving a niche for himself in Tollywood, the actress positioning her career to shrink the space for her contemporaries like Tammanah, Shruti Haasan and Rakul Preet Singh. Above all, many female-oriented films, tanked at the box-office, hence Kajal surely is a good mix of beauty and brains.
