Tamil superstar Vikram asked teen sensation Vijay Devarakonda to spend one day with him and his son Dhruv since the latter is making his acting debut with Tamil remake of ‘Arjun Reddy’. “Vijay was on cloud nine when he got the call and he readily agreed to spend time with Vikram and family for 24 hours and spared a day for Tamil superstar,” says a source in Chennai.

Vijay who impressed the audience with his swashbuckling performance in ‘Arjun Reddy’ seems to have caught the eye of national-award winning Tamil star. “Vikram was impressed with Vijay’s performance as rebellious medico and wanted him to visit him in Chennai.

He wanted him to interact with his son Dhruv who is making his debut with the Tamil remake of ‘Arjun Reddy’. Both Dhruv and Vijay discussed a lot about the role and Dhruv learnt a tip or two from Vijay,” he adds.

Ace filmmaker Bala, who is known for his blockbuster films like ‘Sethu’, ‘Sivaputrudu’ and ‘Vaade Veedu’ is directing this remake. “Bala also had a brief chat with Vijay and the latter expressed happiness about interacting with one of the top Tamil directors,” the source adds.

Actually, director Bala made a star out of Vikram with ‘Sethu’ and now he wants the director to do the same for his son. ‘Dhruv has undergone acting training and also equipped himself to become a good actor. He liked ‘Arjun Reddy’ a lot and wanted it to be his first film, even though, he had a few other scripts in mind,” he concludes.

No doubt, Vijay would be the happiest man, since apart from winning appreciation from the Telugu audience, his acting talent has been recognised by none-other-than Vikram who is hailed as a actor-par-excellence. Actually, Vijay is a great admirer of Vikram’s body of work and also learned a few tips from Vikram, it is learnt.
