Vijay Anthony's Film In Trouble

Mersal which is titled Adirindhi in Telugu is the recent film that struggled a lot in terms of the censor clearance. The makers found it hard to come out with the film to the theatres and the GST controversy also became sensational.

The film has some dialogues about GST which is in a way of opposing the government. Now, another film, Indrasena, is facing the same problem. The word GST has been used in a song and the officials are struggling hard to get a clearance from the censor board.

The inside buzz is that the censor officials have got clear orders from the high command to omit anything remotely close to the word. The distributors of the Telugu version confirmed the news saying the same and also revealed that they are now replacing the word with EMI. It looks like the government is very serious about such things.
