Disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein allegedly owes his ex-wife Eve Chilton USD 5 million in child support.

Disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein allegedly owes his ex-wife Eve Chilton USD 5 million in child support.

Chilton has asked Weinstein to pay remaining sum immediately in case his current legal troubles leave him financially insolvent, reported Page Six.

"He's pre-paying many, many lawyers many, many millions of dollars to defend himself against these lawsuits all over the world," Chilton's lawyer, Bonnie Rabin, said in Manhattan Supreme Court. Weinstein was not present.

The judge said he excused the producer because one of his main lawyers was unable to be there. The judge said he may still order Weinstein to appear in court to testify about his net worth.

Chilton, Weinstein's former assistant, was married to him from 1987 to 2004.

Weinstein, 65, is reportedly worth more than USD 240 million. He inked a USD 60million divorce settlement with Chilton in December 2004 that includes USD 50,000 a year for vacations.

One Weinstein lawyer, Steven Silpe, dismissed Chilton's demand as ridiculous, saying his client has no history of stiffing his ex.

"He has never not made a payment. He has made every single payment for nearly 14 years," Silpe said.
