Young Tamil composer Anirudh Ravichander has reportedly pocketed a whopping pay of Rs 2 crore for his compositions in big ticket entertainer ‘Agnathavasi’ starring Pawan Kalyan and Keerthy Suresh.

Despite being his debut in T-town, his brand value in Tamil movies and numerous chartbusters might have prompted director Trivikram Srinivas to pay a fancy sum to the composer. “Director wanted new sound and refreshing tunes for his magnum opus. Anirudh seems to have given his best since the audio has been lapped up by music lovers,” said a source in Chennai.

Nevertheless, Anirudh has outwitted Telugu composers like Devisriprasad, Thaman and Anup Rubens in one stroke. “A handful of top Telugu music directors are drawing anywhere between Rs 1.5 crore to Rs 75 lakh, so Anirudh has surpassed their remuneration with his debut flick itself.

If the film hits the bull’s eye, Anirudh will become a sought-after composer in T-town as well,” says an audio company honcho. With his Tamil chartbuster ‘Sodaku Podu’ in Surya’s ‘Gang’ becoming a rage in Tamil Nadu, 2018 begins well for the new-age composer.
