Is Rangasthalam billed as a revenge drama?

If sources are to be believed, hotshot Ram Charan’s much-hyped film ‘Rangasthalam’ is reportedly a revenge drama with loads of action and romance. It is learnt that creative director Sukumar has weaved an avenging saga and set it in the 1980s backdrop to give his action-centric film, a new look.

He also transformed urbane-looking Ram Charan and Samantha into a rugged boy and girl, thus, triggering a lot of expectations among the mega fans. “It will be feast to the mega fans since Ram Charan will be seen as an angry-young man who has to avenge for a personal loss,” says a reliable industry source.

Meanwhile, top producers Mythri Movies have loosened their purse strings to shell out more than Rs 60 crore for this periodic saga. Charan, for the first time in his career,

will be sporting a thick beard in the movie. Ram Charan attained the image of an action star with hits like ‘Nayak’ and ‘Yevadu’, as his love saga ‘Orange’, which he did some years ago, tanked at the box-office, burying his lover boy image for good. Yet again, the scion of Chiranjeevi family, will showcase his fiery side to enthral his fans.
