Oviya set for a T-town splash

After carving a niche for herself in Tamil film industry, actress Oviya is making her debut in Telugu with ‘Idhi Naa Love Story’ opposite young actor Tarun which is slated to be released on February 14. Billed to be a romantic saga, the actress will be playing a ‘devadas’ in the youthful entertainer.

“Why always boys should be devadas, why can’t girls,” said the actress in the promotional trailer. She should be looking forward for a big break in T-town, since she is good looking and talented as well.

“It is not a just a love story but much beyond that,” says actor Tarun who describes it as a ‘narrative-driven’ film. Coming to Oviya, she arrived with Tamil film ‘Kalavani’ and went on to do some notable films like ‘Marina,’, Moodar Koodam,’ ‘Kalakalappu,’ and ‘Yamarikka Bayamey’, “However, she became a star overnight after her Big Boss appearance and her cult-like persona earned her a big fan following, says a source from Chennai.

“She will also make a mark in Telugu filmdom and just needs one big hit,” the source concludes.
