Mahesh Babu on a new mission?

Apart from his acting career, superstar Mahesh Babu is a sought-after brand ambassador and now, is all set to turn into an exhibitor. Given that, he is planning to establish swanky theatres in the two Telugu states by joining hands with noted exhibitor Sunil Narang of Asian Cinemas, according to a reliable source.

The `Spyder' star is all set to establish 25-odd theatres in the first phase. In fact, all the leading Telugu star families like Suresh Babu and Chiranjeevi manage 800-odd theatres together and now, it’s the turn of Mahesh Babu to step into the new arena.

On the other hand, the Asian cinemas is already a popular brand and teaming up with Mahesh Babu will be a value addition. "Talks are going on between Mahesh Babu ‘s family and Sunil Narang to establish a chain of swanky theatres in TS and AP after finalising various modalities,” said an industry source.

Coming to Mahesh Babu, the business acumen is in his genes. His father superstar Krishna, who acted in more than 300-odd films had established the Padmalaya Film Studios and his production house ruled the roost in the 1970s and 80s in the South and in Bollywood as well. Undoubtedly, the 'Aagadu' actor is on an expansion bid.
