Young director Sekhar Kammula seems to be an exception of sorts. After rewriting box office history with 'Fidaa', any director in his place would have tried to grab one or two offers to cash in on it, but 'the Anand' director prefers to tread his own path.

"Of course, he has offers but he hasn't decided on anything yet, since he is busy scripting and only then he will think of casting ," says a source, close the director. Unlike most of his colleagues who weave scripts for a particular star, who has given them dates, Kammula is different. "Until he finalises the script, he will not think of actors, that's the way he has been working for more than a decade.

No plans to change his working style," the source adds. It is true that he made films like 'Happy Days' with newcomers and launched Rana Daggupati as an actor with 'Leader' and then joined hands with popular actress Nayantara for 'Anamika'. "Only the script will determine his hero and not the other way round," the source concludes. Right now, the talented director is spending time with his wife and kids and taken a break of sorts.

Usually, he takes two years gap, between films, but we hope, he will start a film sooner than later, because T-town is deprived of content-driven cinema. And also his peers who are delivering a bunch of flops, should take a lesson or two from the 'Fidaa' director, on how script is more important for the success of a film, than having the dates of a popular star.
