According to an industry source, the director of ‘Anthahpuram’ is readying a script which is the first-of-its-kind to be made with a whopping budget of Rs 45 crore, provided everything falls in place.

“Krishna Vamsi is discussing a couple of story ideas and a spooky film is surely one among them. He is preparing a script for a lavish horror flick, since he hasn’t touched the genre before in his two-decade old career. Either he will make the costliest spooky film in Telugu or not at all.”

Even though his mentor RGV made waves in horror flicks with hits like ‘Raat,’ ‘Bhoot and ‘Darna Mana Hai, Krishna Vamsi will be trying his hand for the first time to prove that he is adept in handling all kinds of subjects. “He was thinking to do it for quite some time and feels that it is the right time for him to make one,” he adds.

Actually, the director of ‘Ninne Pelladutha’ was supposed to direct the blockbuster ‘Arundhati, starring Anushka but later backed out due to his prior commitments. But now, he is determined to showcase his expertise in a spooky film.
