Niharika Konidela is the only heroine that came to the industry from the Mega compound. The audience has so many expectations from her. Her debut movie Oka Manasu starring Naga Shourya got tanked at the box office and the actress took a short break. Now, she came up with her latest outing, Happy Wedding with Sumanth Ashwin who is also in a dire need of a hit at the moment. Written and directed by a debutante Lakshman Karya, Happy Wedding is bankrolled by Pocket Cinema banner associated with the UV Creations. Shakthikanth Karthick scored the music for songs whereas Ss Thaman gave the background score. The team is hoping that the movie will definitely impress the audience. Let's have a look at the review

Story:

The movie is all about the story of Akshara's (Niharika Konidela) wedding. Akshara is a simple independent girl but always get confused about everything. She eventually falls in love with Anand (Sumanth Ashwin) who is an ad scriptwriter leading a happy-go-lucky life. The duo is about to get married with the consent of their parents. But things start changing post the entry of Akshara's ex-boyfriend Vijay who starts plotting to claim her again. The change in the behaviour of Anand confuses Akshara about whom to choose between Vijay and her fiancee. The rest of the story deals with how Akshara and Anand got back together and how the parents reacted when they find out about the happenings.

Performances:

Though Niharika has shown much improvement from her debut movie Oka Manasu, she sure worked hard on her expressions. She looked more beautiful and lively in this film. Also, Sumanth Ashwin deserves appreciation for his improvement especially in terms of his dialogue delivery. Sumanth and Niharika looked cute together but the spark between them is missing which made their chemistry a little less appealing. It would have been better if the duo had worked on their chemistry as well. Murali Sharma, Tulasi, Pavitra Lokesh and Naresh played the supporting roles and did their best. Veteran actress Annapurna is also part of this film and had a good on-screen appearance.

Technical Aspects:

It is a known fact that Lakshman Karya marked his directorial debut with this film and some of the flaws in the movie are hinting that he did some rookie mistakes that disrupted the flow of the film. He started the movie on a good note and ran the first half just for the entertainment. But the second half felt like he is intentionally dragging the story with his slow narration that exhausts the audience. The production values by Pocket Cinema and UV Creations are above average. The songs by Shaktikanth Karthick are good and the background score by SS Thaman is excellent. The visuals by cinematographer Bal Reddy are really good.

Verdict:

'Happy wedding' is a tale of two individuals with different personalities who try to accept each other's flaws and wants to start a life together. As the story unfolds, just like every other normal couple issues arise between them. But how they solve them and move forward in the relationship is the main concept of the film. The characters are easily relatable and the story resonates well with the audience. People who can cope up with the slow narration and likes gentle comedy can happily watch the film. On the whole, Happy Wedding is an entertaining film for only a particular group of audience
