Raj Kandukurri’s next a thriller?

National award winning producer Raj Kandukurri's next film will be a suspense thriller, away from his soft and feel good movies like ‘Pellichoopulu’ and ‘Mental Madhilo. “For quite some time, I wanted to try out something different away from my comfort zone and this suspense thriller aptly fits the bill,” admits Kandukurri, who was impressed by an exciting storyline narrated by a new director and resolved to bankroll the project. “I was stunned with the gripping tale and instantly decided that it would be my next offering to the Telugu viewers,” he adds.

However, he doesn’t want to divulge more details about the storyline as well as about the new team. “I want to hold back the information for one more week and after that it will all be yours,” he quips. On putting his hard-earned money on rookies than on established ones, he adds “I like to work only with talented newcomers, as I want to promote untapped talent in the industry. Above all, I connect better with refreshing ideas of gen next directors, than with the seasoned ones, because I can’t travel with people with fixed notions,” he adds. He also claims that ‘romantic tales’ are close to his heart and will remain the ‘mainstay’ of his production house.
