Nani says no to Kajal?

Reigning star Nani seems to prefer to work with young starlets like Keerthy Suresh, Nivedha Thomas and Sai Pallavi, as he reportedly declined to share screen space with hotshot Kajal in his upcoming film, being directed by Chandrasekhar Yeleti and produced by Mythri Movies.

“Nani felt that Kajal could look older than him and also the role was designed for an young actress, hence urged the director and producer to look for a younger and happening diva in T-town and they began the search,” says an industry source. Kajal has been in the industry for more than a decade and she balanced her career by doing films with seasoned stars as well as young guns like Rana Daggupati, Kalyan Ram and Bellamkonda Srinivas, thus retaining her charisma and brand value.

“Kajal, no doubt, is the happening diva but Nani wasn’t really convinced, even though the director felt that she would fit the bill,” the source concludes. However, when contacted, a source close to Kajal denied these rumours.

“This rumour is false,” he says and reasons “Actually, Mythri Movies have signed Kajal opposite Ravi Teja for their upcoming film, which is the remake of the Tamil film ‘Theri’. There were no discussions about Nani and Kajal film, hence it is a baseless,” he informs.
