When an average homemaker is worried about her husband and children, dedicating her entire life for serving her family members, saving some extra bucks after making small cuts in the provisions, making sure the food that she cooks is delicious, making bed for her better half and kids, tending to her own parents and parents-in-law, a woman in the crowded capital begs to differ.
Kotha Krishnaveni, of course, stands out from the crowd. Apart from attending to all her domestic chores, she takes care of the needy too. In a classic example of compassion and philanthropy, Krishnaveni cooks food and feeds her domestic help, cook, washerwoman, the sanitary workers and even all such children of lesser Gods with great gusto and dedication.
While modern women who preach for gender equality refuse to even serve family members, Krishnaveni serves the poor and the needy. She never gets food from hotels of other catering agencies, but gets inexplicable satisfaction when she does all the cooking by herself.
Awestruck by the yeoman service she does to her less fortunate fellow-beings, the domestic workers often wonder, “Leaving all your personal works and feeding us with great care, we feel so fortunate and wonder when we will be able to cook food and feed you one day.”
Krishnaveni’s social services do not confine to just feeding the poor. She considers all the less privileged lots as her equals and treats them with great respect, gives some advices, helps them solve their issues and even provide clothing to the needy.
No, not just that. She also takes care of them during medical emergencies, celebrates their birthdays and wedding anniversaries and provides them with new cloths on the occasions. Krishnaveni, who lives at Begumpet in the State capital, is fast becoming a cult figure in the vicinity.
As she helps their children in their education, she has become a motherly figure for the kids as well. In the neighbourhood she has been admired due to her selfless services and love for the fellow-beings.
All in her locality turn vociferous when they talk about Krishnaveni. All her unstinted services are being offered at her residence in
Begumpet.
The beneficiaries of her myriad services told The Hans India that Krishaveni was a woman of extraordinary humanity, and at the same time embodiment of modesty. “We feel so proud and happy when she treats us as her equals and provides us whatever we need.
She is godsend and our saviour. We are so fortunate to have her in our neighbourhood,” the domestic workers and other deprived lots say in unison.
Taking care of about 100 people, Krishanveni has become an ideal for all women. She stands as epitome of service and affection. She will sure remain in the hearts of people forever.
