IPL managed to grow its popularity every year irrespective of match-fixing scandals and remained as a great summer treat for cricket fans all over the world. With the beginning of 11th edition of the great cricket saga, we have readers sharing about their favourite teams and listing the places which will screen IPL live in the city

Mumbai will win the title

I am super excited about IPL as it’s the only platform where we can find new talent in cricket. You can also find different cricketers from different countries playing under one team. My favorite team is Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians has great players like Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumhra, Pandya brothers and great staff such as Jonty Rhodes, Anil Kumble, Sachin Tendulkar.

They are the three times winner of the trophy and I hope they win the title this year too. This year, every team is practicing hard to win the title. My favorite player is Mumbai Indians, all-rounder Hardik Pandya. He can score for the team as well as save runs for the team as he is a great fielder too.

Sunrisers is the best team

I am very excited to see two teams, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals after the two years ban. My favorite team is Sunrisers Hyderabad. As a Hyderabadi, I always support my home team. Due to the Warner’s obscene, Sunrisers Hyderabad will face problems in batting this year. I hope the new captain Kane Williamson will help Sunrisers to reach playoffs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad team have the best coaching staff among all teams and are being guided in the right way and also all the players are well experienced and dedicated. My favorite cricketer is David Warner, but he is not playing in this year IPL. I love to watch MS Dhoni batting.

The party begins

I don’t watch cricket on a regular basis but as a true Indian, I am a big fan of the team India. The beginning of IPL is like beginning a 50-day party for cricket lovers all over the country. This period is like a festive season for anyone and everyone who is even remotely interested in cricket. Fans will see their favourite players on live and joins the fun and celebration.

Though Sunrisers Hyderabad is my favourite team but MS Dhoni from Chennai Super Kings has been my all-time favourite player. Sometimes, I just wish my favourite cricketer would have played for my favourite team, but on a serious note, as always, I am with Sunrisers Hyderabad. I hope Hyderabad will give their best performance this year.

Unity in diversity

To be very honest, I am not a fan of cricket but when it comes to IPL, all my love and excitement for cricket shows up. The thing that I admire the most about the IPL format is that it celebrates unity in diversity. I love to see players from different cultures, religions, and regions playing under one team.

My favourite team is Sunrisers Hyderabad. Hyderabad has won two times and I hope will get third one this year. Sunrisers team spirit is good and VVS Laxman’s tactics are great. Our openers David Warner and Shikar Dhawan are my favourite players in the team. David Warner's absence is a big loss for Sunrisers this year.

Entertainment

I am very excited about this year’s IPL season as it's going to be a tough competition as the two strong teams CSK and RR are back in the hunt after two years ban. My favourite team is Sunrisers Hyderabad.

I am quite disappointed that Warner isn't playing this season but excited to watch Manish Pandey’s show for SRH. I hope this time Sunrisers will make it to the finals as the team is looking very strong. No matter which team wins, but I would like to see more IPL seasons because it is a festival in India longing for two months and gives us complete entertainment.

Comeback for CSK and RR

I am very happy for the two teams CSK and RR for playing this season despite two years tough time. My favourite team is Chennai Super Kings. My favourite player is MS Dhoni because he is the one who can take the right decision at right time without the help of others.

He can beat the opposition at any point in time with his tactics. Dhoni is the only player in the world to win all ICC trophies. I hope Dhoni’s cool and calm game will give title once again for the Chennai Super Kings.
