Nine killed in separate road mishaps

In separate road accidents, nine people were killed on Thursday. Four children were killed in an accident when a tipper collided with a stationary car on the national highway at Medarametla.

The family was returning to Guntur from Tirumala when the car developed a glitch. While the elder family members were pushing the car, the tipper coming from behind dashed into it. The elders had a narrow escape but the children and the driver died on the spot.

In another incident, a car rammed into a stationary container leading to the death of a woman in the car. The family too was returning from Tirumala when the speeding car rammed into the container at Pangaluru in Renangivaram mandal where nine others including two children in the car suffered injuries and are undergoing treatment at Ongole RIMS hospital.

Another collision took place in Patancheru near Hyderabad where three passengers in an auto were killed after a collision with a lorry. The accident happened on Thursday midnight and four others who suffered serious injuries are undergoing treatment.
