10 Nayeem’s accomplices taken into custody
The Special Investigation Team police on Friday reportedly detained 10 accomplices of slain gangster Mohammed Nayeemuddin, from various parts of Nalgonda district. The 10 accomplices of Nayeem, hailing from Bhongir and some other places of Nalgonda district, were allegedly involved in extortion and land grabbing.
Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team police on Friday reportedly detained 10 accomplices of slain gangster Mohammed Nayeemuddin, from various parts of Nalgonda district. The 10 accomplices of Nayeem, hailing from Bhongir and some other places of Nalgonda district, were allegedly involved in extortion and land grabbing.
The SIT, which had already unearthed huge properties registered in the name of Nayeem and his female accomplices, identified 10 plots in a private venture near Bhongir. The 10 persons, who were detained on Friday, were involved in the grabbing the 10 plots, said sources. Meanwhile, the Narsingi police produced Nayeem’s brother Faheem and his wife Sajida Shaik in Rajendranagar court ater their two day custody ended on Friday evening.
The court also granted permission to the Narsingi police to take Nayeem’s wife Haseena Begum and his sister Saleema Begum to Hyderabad from Mahbubnagar jail on the transit warrant and produce in the Rajendranagar court. The police are likely to produce the duo before the court on Saturday and seek their custody to grill them further.
Simultaneously, basing on the confession of Faheem and his wife Sajida, a team of investigators went to Ongole and conducted searches in some houses. The houses registered on Sajida’s name were gifted by Nayeem. However, the police could only seized photo copies of some land documents from the houses, the sources added.
