Two held for circulating obscene video
Cyber crime sleuths of Cyberabad on Monday arrested the Managing Director of a consultancy and its woman employee on charges of shooting objectionable videos of another woman and circulating them on WhatsApp.
Hyderabad: Cyber crime sleuths of Cyberabad on Monday arrested the Managing Director of a consultancy and its woman employee on charges of shooting objectionable videos of another woman and circulating them on WhatsApp.
The arrested persons are identified as Alapati Sivaiah, Managing Director of Hyma Consultancy and his employee, Vijaya.
Police said the victim earlier worked in Hyma Consultancy for some time before joining in a pharma company. She lives in a hostel along with one of the accused Vijaya.
According to the police, Vijaya, being the roommate of the victim shot objectionable videos of the latter and sent them to Sivaiah through WhatsApp. Vijaya shot the videos on the instructions of Sivaiah, police added.
The victim came to know about the crime when she happened to see the mobile phone of her roommate. She also found that a fake facebook account has been created in the name of her friend, who stays in another room of the same hostel. Suspecting a foul play the victim lodged a complaint, police said.
Based on the complaint police registered a case and arrested the accused. Police also recovered the mobile phones and a laptop from the accused which contains objectionable videos of the victim.
