Hyderabad: Sleuths of the Central Crime Station (CCS) arrested two persons on charges of theft and snatching. The arrested were identified as Babbu Malik of Delhi and Imran Malik of Uttar Pradesh. Police recovered two dummy pistols, one scooter, some gold, and laptop bags from the accused.

Police said the accused purchased old scooters from scrap and send them to various metro cities by train. The duo travels by air to the next targeted city and after reaching the destined city, the duo collects the scooter from the cargo delivery to commit robberies.

According to the police, they wear masks before setting out for robberies. They look for lonely morning walkers, particularly senior citizens, approach them as if looking for an address and snatch away their valuables at gunpoint.

They robbed a senior citizen in Begumpet in a similar fashion. They were involved in over 30 cases in Hyderabad, Pune, Gurugram and Haryana, police said.
