Unknown offenders robbed three houses in Bethavolu village of Chilkur mandal in the early hours of Thursday, as the doors of these houses were opened. They fled away with 20 tolas of gold and a bike.

Chilkur: Unknown offenders robbed three houses in Bethavolu village of Chilkur mandal in the early hours of Thursday, as the doors of these houses were opened. They fled away with 20 tolas of gold and a bike.

According to Sub-Inspecto Ramu, Durgamma, Satyanarayana Reddy and Srikanth Reddy kept the doors of their houses open on Wednesday night to get cool air in the night and slept.

The offenders observed the houses with doors open at around 2 am on Thursday and robbed 7.5 tolas of gold from Durgamma's house, 10 tolas and a bike from Satyanarayana Reddy’s house and two tolas from Srikanth Reddy’s house.

Satyanarayana Reddy, who woke up later, observed a few items displaced and found out that thieves looted gold and a vehicle.

After getting information, police rushed to the spot and inspected the victims’ houses with clues team and collected fingerprints of offenders. Chilkur police registered a case and investigation is on.
