Hyderabad: Central zone task force team on Saturday arrested seven persons for allegedly cheating unemployed youth promising them jobs in government departments.

The alleged cheats collected huge amounts of money from the unemployed. The arrested persons are A Vinay Kumar, M Suresh, Madhava Rao, C Sudheer Kumar, C Sridhar Reddy, B Krishna Murthy and Syed Nizam. Police recovered as many as 27 fake appointment proceedings, 52 fake rubber stamps in the name of various government departments, eight mobile phones, fake enquiry reports and other incriminating material from the accused. It is claimed.

Police said the kingpin of the gang, Vinay Kumar, earlier worked as Bill Collector in GHMC and resorted to fraud by issuing fake bills and misappropriated the public money.

Later, Vinay and his gang go on citing one or the other excuse for the delay in sending the appointment letters.

Fed up with the excuses, one of the victims approached the police. Based on the information, police nabbed the gang and handed over the arrested accused to the Musheerabad police for further action.
