The Police have finally cracked the case relating to the murder of priest Narayanagiri Swamy that took place on May 5 in Chinnapur village of Maklur mandal in the district. Speaking to the media in the city on Tuesday, Commissioner of Police Karthikeya said that they arrested the two accused and sent to remand.  The accused were presented before the media. 

Nizamabad: The Police have finally cracked the case relating to the murder of priest Narayanagiri Swamy that took place on May 5 in Chinnapur village of Maklur mandal in the district. Speaking to the media in the city on Tuesday, Commissioner of Police Karthikeya said that they arrested the two accused and sent to remand. The accused were presented before the media.

Karthikeya said that the deceased Narayanagiri Swamy was working as a priest in a temple on the outskirts of Chinnapur village. Two persons Dubbaka Lakshman (34) and Narra Yellaiah (31) hailing from Sarangapur village murdered Swamy after hitting him with a big boulder while he was sleeping in his hut.

They also stole his mobile cell phone and money. He said that the two accused were involved in several petty thefts earlier. The police seized Rs 8,000 cash, six mobile phones and 7 grams of gold, he added.
