Hyderabad: Customs officials of the Air Intelligence wing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Shamshabad on Saturday nabbed two passengers trying to smuggle gold bars from Jeddah.
The two passengers arrived by Saudi Airlines SV 754. While one passenger was found carrying two gold bars weighing 366 grams worth Rs 10,65,060 in a specially made pocket on his underwear; another passenger had concealed two gold bars weighing 381 grams worth Rs 11,08,710 in his jeans trouser pocket.
Both the passengers are being questioned to ascertain the source and actual destination of the gold.
