Hyderabad: One died and two seriously injured in a gas cylinder explosion under Kulsumpura police limits on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Ramakrishna, 55, a resident of Jiyaguda.
He died while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital, while two others who were seriously injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital. According to preliminary investigation, they were cutting a gas cylinder, believing it to be empty.
The policefound more than a dozen cylinders in the shed being used by the scrap yard opposite to SBA Garden in Kulsumpura. The police registered a case and began investigation. They are trying to find out if these cylinders were stolen from somewhere before being bought to the scrap yard.
