Man held for cheating woman from Indore

Hyderabad: An Indore based woman was cheated and raped by a resident of Santoshnagar by citing singlehood. The accused kept her at his residence, when his wife was away for a week.

According to police, the accused Misbahuddin, who was working in transport section of a private company, had developed acquaintance with the woman working in Indore.

During their interactions, he presented himself as a bachelor, to which she believed and continued to communicate on phone. However, the wife of the accused, who suspected her husband, informed the woman that they were married, with children.

In the meantime, the accused convinced the victim that the couple were no longer in a relation and were divorced and he remained single since then.

On September 2, when his wife along with the children left to her parents’ house, the accused lured the woman from Indore to visit Hyderabad by promising to marry her. He spent with her for a week, before the wife of the accused returned on September 8.

Feeling cheated, the woman immediately registered a complaint with the Santoshnagar police. Based on the complaint, the accused was arrested and was booked under various sections for rape and cheating.

Minor cheated, raped
In a similar case, a minor was cheated and raped by a 21-yr old youth who had promised to marry her. The accused Dhanraj, had an affair with a 17-yr old girl and resident of Narapally under Ghatkesar mandal for past 3 years.

However, recently he convinced her of marriage and took her to resorts and stayed with her. Later, when the girl raised the issue of marriage, he tried to evade the topic. He also threatened her, when she continued to bring pressure on him for marriage.
