The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had trapped a corrupt official of Fisheries department in Nagarkurnool on Monday and booked a case against him for accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000 from the chairman of District Fisheries Cooperative Society.

Nagarkurnool: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had trapped a corrupt official of Fisheries department in Nagarkurnool on Monday and booked a case against him for accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000 from the chairman of District Fisheries Cooperative Society.

According to ACB officials, Nagulu, an official from Fisheries department of Nagarkurnool has been delaying clearance of bills of T Laxmaiah, chairman of Fisheries Cooperative Society for a long time.

Upon continues persistence to clear the bills, the official demanded Rs 8,000 as bribe. Fed up with Nagulu, Laxmaiah alerted the ACB officials and caught Nagulu while accepting the bribe amount.
