Tractor plunges into canal killing one person, 30 others injured

One person was killed and 30 others were injured near Ramachandrapuram in East Godavari district when a tractor carrying migrant labourers plunged into the canal.

The labourers belong to villages in and around Anakapalle.
According to the reports, the tractor driver’s negligence led to the mishap at Durga temple.
The locals rushed in to the rescue of the injured soon after the accident and were admitted to Area Hospital in Ramachandrapuram.
The deceased was identified as Raja Babu of Jagannadhapuram village in Madugula mandal.
A case has been registered in this regard.
