Hyderabad: A 26-year-old software employee was crushed to death under a RTC bus, while crossing the busy junction of Road No.1 and 12 in Banjara Hills on Wednesday.

According to police, Shirisha, a software employee working for Spinsci technologies was crossing the busy junction connecting Road No.1 and 12, near Virinchi Hospital in Banjara Hills while on her way to office at around 11.30 am. Suddenly a TSRTC bus belonging to Mehdipatnam-1 depot, took a sudden turn from Pension office towards Road No.12, which is a ‘free left’, hit her and crushed under the front tyre.

She who received serious head injuries died on the spot. As her head came under the tyres, her face was damaged beyond recognition. She was recognised based on the details of her ID card. “This accident took place because of the negligence of the bus driver,” police officials said.

Shirisha was resident of Venus Enclave in Gajularamaram in Ranga Reddy district. She recently got married to Murali Krishna Charyulu, is staying with her husband at Khairatabad. The driver was taken into custody and her dead body was sent to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem.
