TRS leader found murdered
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader and educationist V Srinivasa Rao (46) was found bludgeoned to death at Sanathnagar on Thursday. The morning walkers, who found his body close to Sanathnagar bus stand, informed the police. A few liquor bottles were also found near the body. Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader and educationist V Srinivasa Rao (46) was found bludgeoned to death at Sanathnagar on Thursday. The morning walkers, who found his body close to Sanathnagar bus stand, informed the police. A few liquor bottles were also found near the body. The injuries on the body suggested that he was bludgeoned to death with boulders. A police team, along with Clues team and a dog squad, reached the spot and are investigating the murder.
“He spent last night with about four persons, near an under construction building close to bus stop. They all consumed liquor and there is a chance that in inebriated condition they might have fought among themselves, resulting in his death,” said DCP Balanagar, Y Sai Sekhar. A resident of Lingaiah Nagar in Balkampet, Srinivasa Rao was an admirer of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao wanted to bring in change in the education system.
He was also running an NGO, with the name of VCR Charitable Trust. It is believed that he was having differences with some locals and the police are investigating the case in murder angle. Srinivasa Rao was a native of East Godavari settled in Hyderabad and was active in Telangana movement.
