Man dies in road accident; another body found in canal
A middle aged man died in a road accident on Noonepalli fly over bridge on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Devarla Srinivasa Reddy and was a resident of Noonepalli. According to traffic police Circle Inspector M Parthasaradhi, the deceased was going to his house at Noonepalli on his motor bike from SBI Colony.
Kurnool: A middle aged man died in a road accident on Noonepalli fly over bridge on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Devarla Srinivasa Reddy and was a resident of Noonepalli. According to traffic police Circle Inspector M Parthasaradhi, the deceased was going to his house at Noonepalli on his motor bike from SBI Colony.
When he reached the Noonepalli flyover, a car bearing Telangana registration hit the motorist and fled the scene. He was immediately shifted to Nandyal General Hospital where doctors declared him `brought dead.’ On hearing about the accident, the deceased wife was unable to bear the shock and went into coma. We have traced the vehicle whereabouts through the CC Camera footage.
We have alerted the police besides launching a man hunt to nab the accused. However, we have filed a case and took up investigation, added the Circle Inspector. In another incident at Nandyal, an unknown body aged between 35-40 years was seen floating in Kurnool-Cuddapah (KC) Canal near Ponnapuram.
Sub-Inspector; M Ramesh Babu said that the whereabouts of the deceased were not known. We are enquiring about the missing persons at the nearby villages. The body was retrieved from the water and sent for autopsy, added the Sun Inspector, Ramesh Babu.
