Mystery shrouds death of 7 of a family

Bhongir: Seven members of a family, including three children, were on Friday found dead under suspicious circumstance at a poultry farm at PamuKunta Village under Rajapetmandal in Yadadri district.

The deceased were identified as DubbasiBalaraju (44), of JagadevpurunderMunigadapa village in Siddipet district, his wife Nirmala (39) , Children Sravani (14), Chintu (12) , Bunny (8), his father-in-law and mother-in-lawByndlaBalanarasimha(68) and Bharathamma (58), native of Lingampally village under Station Ghanapurmandal in Jangoan district.

TheBalaraju couple were engaged to work in the poultry farm. Rajapet police visited the scene and examined the premises for clues.

Local people expressed the opinion that the seven members of the family could have died after consuming contaminated chicken.

Meanwhile , speaking to media ,Nagabhushanam, owner of the poultry farm, ruled out foul play in the incident.

He said he had arrived at his farm at 9.15 pm and tried to summon Balaraju by calling him from outside the room in which the family lived. But there was no response. He said at about 3,30 pm again he had tried to contact Balaraju over phone,but nobody lifted the phone, then, he along with a neighbour Satish went to force open the unlocked door and tried to wake up the Balaraju, but in vain. He was shocked to find all the members dead.

Relatives of Balaraju said the family had facing financial problems. “We cannot come to a conclusion until we get the autopsy report," said a police official.

RachakondaCommissionerate Tarun Joshi, ACP SrinivasaChary , CI Anjaneyulu ,SI Besanna, Joint Collector Ravi Naik , RDO BhoopalReddy, TahsildarRammurthywere among the officials who visited the spot.

District Collector Anitha Ramachandran also visited the village.
