2 injured as lorry rams into rocks on ghat road

Tirupati: A lorry carrying paint boxes rammed into rocks on Bhakarapet ghat road on Wednesday morning. The vehicle was coming towards Tirupati from Karnataka. At a turning on the ghat road the vehicle lost its balance and fell down seriously injuring both driver and cleaner.

They struck inside the lorry cabin and could not even come out. The Govindamala devotees going to Tirumala on walking through the ghat road have informed to 108 ambulance service.

Meanwhile, CPI district secretary Ramanaidu and others, who were going to Piler from Tirupati also stopped there and helped in shifting the injured into ambulance and were taken to Ruia Hospital in Tirupati. It was learnt that one person’s condition was serious and the other one was recovering.
