ACB raids HMDA official’s residence
The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Hyderabad raided Katta Purshottam Reddy Planning Director of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), his relatives and his associates’ residences throughout the Hyderabad and registered a case of disproportionate assets against Katta Purshottam Reddy on Friday.
Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Hyderabad raided Katta Purshottam Reddy Planning Director of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), his relatives and his associates’ residences throughout the Hyderabad and registered a case of disproportionate assets against Katta Purshottam Reddy on Friday.
During the raids the police team unearthed properties, gold, plots, expensive cars, flats and bank balances worth Rs 5.5 crore from the areas Serilingampally, Moosapet, Ameerpet, Miyapur and Chandanagar.
The ACB department confirmed that all these properties were earned by Katta Purshottam Reddy during his tenure from 1985 to 2009, where he had worked in various capacities in departments of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and HMDA. Investigation revealed that after buying properties he used get it registered under the name of his brother-in-law Sreenivas Reddy.
