TV anchor Anasuya in soup over selfie

Hyderabad: Anchor of Jabardasth TV show, Anasuya Bharadwaj, landed in a bizarre controversy after she allegedly broke the phone of a young fan who tried to take a selfie with her, while going to school.

This incident took place on Monday and the video of the incident went viral on social media, prompting her to deactivate her Twitter account. A complaint was lodged by the mother of the boy at Osmania University police station.

A resident of Tarnaka lodged the complaint against the upcoming actor, after she allegedly took the phone from the hand of the young fan and smashed it on the floor, even as he was trying to take selfie with her. Anasuya was visiting her mother’s house at Tarnaka on Monday.

However, Anasuya denied the allegations that she broke his fan’s phone when he tried to take a selfie, through Twitter prompting trolls. She alleged that boy’s mother was spreading lies about her.

She was not in the mood for selfie, so she declined for it but did not break the phone. The fan’s mother also created a video featuring her son’s broken phone. The footage has gone viral and is creating buzz on social media. In the video, the complainant alleged that Anasuya had deliberately taken the phone out of her son’s hand and smashed it to the floor.
