2 held for illegal trade of PDS rice
The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone Team raided a warehouse at Risala Bazar, Chikkadpally and arrested two persons involved in the illegal trade of PDS rice. The police also seized 34 quintals of PDS rice on Thursday. The arrested persons were identified as Mohammed Ibrahim (22) and Basheer Ahmed (20),both residents of Musheerabad.

The police also seized 34 quintals of PDS rice on Thursday. The arrested persons were identified as Mohammed Ibrahim (22) and Basheer Ahmed (20),both residents of Musheerabad.
According to police, Ibrahim used to purchase PDS rice from ration card holders at Rs 8 per kg and sell it illegally in Zaheerabad at Rs 12 per kg. The accused has been carrying out the trade for the last six months. On Thursday, acting on a tip off, the police raided the warehouse when the accused were trying to transport the PDS rice in mini trucks. The police registered a case and handed over the rice to Civil Supplies Department.
