Hyderabad: A 16-year-old intermediate student committed suicide after she failed in one of the subjects. The incident took place in Weaker Section colony, Ahmedguda under Keesara mandal on Saturday.
According to police, Likitha Sri, a student of Sri Chaitanya College in ECIL who was unable to comprehend the fact that she failed, hanged to death.
In another case, a 20-year-old girl tried to jump into the Tank Bund as she failed in two subjects. The patrolling police noticed and rescued her. She is a resident of Mallepally and was studying in a private junior college.
