Khammam: The Task Force Police officials here on Tuesday claimed to have arrested six persons on the charge of playing cards at Killa Bazaar on Monday night.
According to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Task Force) Rehaman, on a tip-off that some of the persons were playing cards for the last few days, police under the supervision of Circle Inspector Anjaneyulu conducted raided and arrested six persons and seized Rs 17,250, besides five cell phones.
The arrested were handed over to the Khammam one town police station. Stringent actions would be taken against the persons who encourage or give shelter to those playing cards, warned the ACP.
