Woman murdered by husband, in-laws in Warangal
A woman was murdered 10 months after her marriage allegedly by her husband and in-laws here on Tuesday.
Warangal: A woman was murdered 10 months after her marriage allegedly by her husband and in-laws here on Tuesday.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Polepaka Chittemma alias Meghana (24). She was smothered to death at a residential apartment near Andhra Bank in Kashibugga area where she lived with her husband.
In a complaint lodged with Intezargunj police, the victim’s father K Krupaiah, a resident of Kazipet, accused his son-in-law Polepaka Vijay and his mother Polepaka Hemalatha of killing his daughter.
Intezargunj circle inspector Ch Ravi Kumar said a case under Sections 498-A, 302, 304-B, of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, was booked against the accused and investigation was on. The victim’s husband is absconding.
