Riding on its success in the national and State-level entrance examinations, BASE, the Bangalore based, premier training organisation providing quality training for competitive examinations gave a fitting felicitation to all its achievers from across the State at Grand Slam 2016 held at The Good Shepherd auditorium, Residency Road. 

Bangalore: Riding on its success in the national and State-level entrance examinations, BASE, the Bangalore based, premier training organisation providing quality training for competitive examinations gave a fitting felicitation to all its achievers from across the State at Grand Slam 2016 held at The Good Shepherd auditorium, Residency Road.

Grand Slam is an annual event to celebrate and felicitate winners@BASE for their success in today’s highly competitive scenario and to encourage them for further success in their careers. The students were awarded for their exceptional performance in various competitive exams such as JEE (Main & Advanced), CET, AIIMS, JIPMER, NEET, KVPY, NTSE, Olympiads & various other examinations.

Key highlights of BASE Performance

* 1st rank in CET Engineering ( Milind Kumar Vaddiraju)
* 2nd rank in CET Medical (Sanjay M Goudar)
* 482 students qualified for JEE advanced, 108 students cracked, both Mains & Advanced, Milind Kumar Vaddiraju is Karnataka topper
* 102 students in Top 1% of JEE - Main ranks
* 6 students qualified for AIIMS, 2 in JIPMER
* II PUC : 14 students in top 10 positions
* CET Engineering : 7 in top 10, 82 in top 500
* CET Medical : 2 in top 10, 56 in top 500
* 33 students qualified in KVPY exam
* Olympiads : National level - 1 ( Biology) & 28 at State level
* 22 students qualified for NTSE at state level
* Total Centums : 335 across all core science subjects

The student toppers from the program TAPAS, a free residential program initiated by Rashtrotthana Parishath and BASE for students belonging to the economically challenged sections of the society were also given a grand felicitation at the event.

Special felicitation was also for 23 students from Shaheen PU College of Bidar, who achieved recognition in CET-medical securing a place in Top 1000 ranks. They were trained completely on-line.

The Chief Guests for the event were Dr. V. R. Supradeepa, Assistant Professor, Centre for Nanoscience and Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore & Dr. Shekhar Patil, Consultant Medical Oncologist who congratulated students for their success & motivated them by sharing word of wisdom, self confidence and how it will help them in their career going ahead.

Addressing the gathering, Dr H S Nagaraja, Founder Director, BASE boosted the confidence of toppers with motivational speech. Blessing the talented youngsters to take quantum leaps in their lives ahead, he said that this felicitation ceremony is an acknowledgment of their success, hard work, determination and commitment and to motivate them to excel in all the forthcoming challenges of their academic and professional careers.

He advised students to become good human beings and respect others to climb the ladder of success and bring laurels to their family and society. He also thanked the teachers for providing guidance and support to these children and congratulated all the successful students and wished them success in all their future endeavors. We believe that this is a new beginning of an amazing journey” he added.
