The Mock Trial Team of University College of Law, Osmania University consisting of 1) Manoj Sattar, 2) T. Swetcha, 3) GVNS Lakshya & 4) Kranthi Ranadev has secured Runners-up position in the Surana & Surana National Trial Advocacy Moot Court Competition, 2016 –India South Rounds.

The Mock Trial Team of University College of Law, Osmania University consisting of 1) Manoj Sattar, 2) T. Swetcha, 3) GVNS Lakshya & 4) Kranthi Ranadev has secured Runners-up position in the Surana & Surana National Trial Advocacy Moot Court Competition, 2016 –India South Rounds.This competition was held at National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi from 3rd to 5thSeptember, 2016.

The Surana & Surana National Trial Advocacy Moot Court Competition is one of the most prestigious mock trial competitions in India. The Team stood second among the 12 contesting teams representing various Universities including National Law Schools. The problem for the Mock Trial competition was on Sections 34,107,186 & 304 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

The Team members other than being the runners up have also won several awards. They are 1) Spirit of Surana Award -that symbolizes all round excellence 2) Third Best Student Advocate- Manoj Sattar 3) Fourth Best Memorial Award. The faculty members of the University College of Law, O.U. and also other officials congratulated the students for their achievement.
