Gurukul colleges get 24327 applications

The State Government’s Mahatma Jotiba Phule Gurukul Colleges are gaining in popularity by each passing day. The success in the examinations and the efficacy of the coaching methods have made these institutions very popular.
Hyderabad: The State Government’s Mahatma Jotiba Phule Gurukul Colleges are gaining in popularity by each passing day. The success in the examinations and the efficacy of the coaching methods have made these institutions very popular.
This year, for the 3040 seats, there were 24327 applications. There are 19 BC residential junior colleges each offering four courses with an intake of 160 students each.
Of the 24327 applicants, 11000 are seeking admission into MPC category and 10000 for the BiPC category. CEC course has attracted 3000 applications and around 1000 for the MEC category. The admissions would be given on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test.
