Speaking to media persons at Collectorate on Saturday, he quoted the bulletins of disaster management department about the soaring of temperatures likely to cross 42 degrees Celsius.

The collector also quoted that in view of more moisture content in atmosphere due to long sea coast, people of the district may feel uneasiness and discomfort due to this factor the collector observed.In view of this special alert has been issued in 50 mandals and alert in 14 mandals in East Godavari as per the reports received.

The collector also revealed that Tondangi mandal is one among the top 10 mandals where the heat wave conditions will be noticed in the next three days.In order to meet these emergencies, the collector said that ORS packets are being kept ready at PHCs, CHCs and Anganwadi centres in the district he said The collector also asked the commercial establishments to down their shutters between 12 noon to 3 pm to keep away from these heat wave conditions.
