France's players celebrate after scoring their fourth goal in the World Cup final against Croatia.

France have won the 2018 World Cup after beating Croatia 4-2 in the tournament finale at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

A Mario Mandzukic own goal and Antoine Griezmann penalty gave France a half-time advantage either side of Ivan Perisic's equaliser in the first half.

A Paul Pogba strike and a screamer from Kylian Mbappe then sealed the result in the second half, despite a consolation goal by Mandzukic after an error by France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

Croatia, despite taking the game to their opponents early on, were eventually overpowered by the French team, who have won their country's second World Cup.
