The book, ‘Romancing the Chicks’, written by Chef Mandaar Sukhtankar was launched at The Park, Rajbhavan over the weekend. Mandaar, who was also named the ‘Chef of the year 2016’ at thOur Bureaue Times Food and Nightlife Awards, shared his experiences with food.

“This book is about my culinary stories, recipes, and thoughts. I always love to tell stories. Basically, I come from an army family and that was helped me to travel to more places and I had the opportunity to taste different kinds of food. I have been in this field over two decades and I have had many experiences - good and bad. Whenever I make food, I always think about my customer satisfaction. If our customers enjoy the food then I feel happy,” he shared.

During the program, he also performed a live cooking demonstration of some of his recipes from the book. “Cooking and writing are my favorite hobbies. Right from childhood, my parents encouraged me. All the stories in the book are written over two years. Most of it was published in various newspapers and magazines. My wife (Meenakshi) helped me to complete this book,” he concluded.
