As a designer, Rocky Star has renewed the way fashion is operated in India. Having styled for over 300 films and currently working on Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Robot 2’, Rocky is known as the first designer for both the common man and celebrities what with his wearable collections.

After ruling the fashion world, he has now ventured into the virtual realm, teaming with One Digital Entertainment to launch the country’s first fashion chat show on the internet, ‘Conversations with Rocky’, which is aired on his brand new YouTube (YT) channel, ‘Rocky Star’.

With his rich experience and immense connections, it was interesting he chose web for the talk show. Rocky agrees, “The youth today is YT oriented. More than any other platform YT is something that all age groups access easily.

It’s a great way of reaching out to them, which is why when One Digital Entertainment approached me I agreed immediately. Another reason is the global appeal. With the web, I can reach to my fans across the globe.”

The first two episodes of the show have been aired and curiously enough, they were shot in complete black and white. Sharing the idea behind it, Rocky says, “The only two colours that you can’t ignore are black and white. Black is a dark, passionate and bold colour.

Whereas, white is light, subtle and elegant. You can never go wrong with these two.” The show has celebrities in candid chats with Rocky. Lara Dutta and Lisa Ray have already been on the show and there are many more to come. “Dear friends like Mandana Karimi, Shamita Shetty along with the others are a few names I can reveal,” shares Rocky.

“Another thing I can reveal is that I will launch exclusive collections on the show. I'd rather have you see it than talk about it to maintain the excitement,” he adds.

This isn’t the first time that people at their prime in their field of work took to the internet. Nimrat Kaur, Radhika Apte and Aditi Rao Hydari have all starred in a couple of videos exclusively for the web.

And, Rocky echoes the spirit of mainstream celebs joining the internet entertainment bandwagon. “This is just the beginning. There is a lot more that is coming and so much more to explore. All I’ll say is stay tuned,” he concludes.
