Welfare schemes must reach all beneficiaries: Minister Eatala
The welfare schemes introduced by the Telangana government must reach to each and every eligible person, which helps them to grow economically and socially, said Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar here on Wednesday.
Karimnagar: The welfare schemes introduced by the Telangana government must reach to each and every eligible person, which helps them to grow economically and socially, said Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar here on Wednesday.
The Finance Minister along with District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed chaired a review meeting with the officials of SC, ST, BC and Minority officials at R&B guest house in Karimnagar.
Addressing the officials, the Minister said the Telangana government was the only government in the country that has been implementing welfare schemes by giving 80 per cent subsidy. The person who was sanctioned one unit can grow economically and can feed his family happily.
Eatala ordered the officials to submit the report of pending schemes and told them not to sanction any loan or unit to those who were already allotted for a period of 10 years.
The officials were also asked to find out land for distribution of three acres of land for SCs. Stringent action would be taken against those, who involve in middlemen-ship in sanctioning welfare schemes and also on those officials, who involve in corruption in sanctioning the units, the Minister warned.
Minister Eatala also ordered the officials to present the cheques to the beneficiaries, who were benefitted under Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes at the venue of the marriage.
The government has decided to construct a community hall in each mandal with a cost of Rs 50 lakhs in two acres of land. In the first phase, the government gave permission to construct community halls in Veenavanka, Huzurabad, Chigurumamidi, Manakondur, Karimnagar, Choppadandi and Thimmapur mandals, the Minister informed.
In Bijigiri Sharief, the government would construct a very big hall, which can accommodate about 500 members along with kitchen with a capacity to cook food to nearly 200 members, he added.
